Where is My White Winter?

Jumper, Necklace and Shoes: New Look, Jeans: Miss Selfridge

So I was going to call this post 'Winter Whites' but then I realised how many bloggers I've seen with that kinda title in the past week, so I called it 'Where is My White Winter?' because, well its Winter and there is no snow in London! Just lots and lots of rain and wind. I had some good luck in this years sales, usually I really dislike the massive crowds, rude elbows shoving me, tacky items that are on sale for a reason etc...but I stuck it out and found this beautiful fluffy white jumper in New Look, I've been looking for something like this for a while so was delighted when I saw it! Also the gem, gold, pearly necklace is just TOO cute, and at £6 how could I not?! The shoes are also from New Look, but from a while back, I teamed it with an all white outfit standing outside the white front door because the wind was so crazy, I was afraid to leave, ha! I can't wait to show you guys bits and bobs from Christmas, hope you got nice things and not just socks!

Hair Inspiration

I'm probably the most indecisive person in the world. Or at LEAST in the top 10...so when it comes to hair I've done it all. I had a bob as a kid, long thick hair as a pre-teen, a perm, bangs/fringe, brunette, red head, black, dip-dye, mid length the list is endless! I really adore long, curly thick hair but then would love poker straight, middle parted ombre hair! But at the same time I want my mid length with bangs back! Goodness knows how I even have any hair left, ha!

Burberry S/S '13

Jumper: New Look, Skirt: Miss Selfridge, Watch: Casio, Boots: Topshop

Okay so I know I am insanely late posting an outfit all the way back from the S/S '13 Shows, but what can I say I didn't even start this blog during Fashion Week! I was going through images on my desktop, (desperately trying to find ANY decent quality photos to post...I really should get my own camera, like. now.) And well I found these from the Burberry Prorsum S/S '13 Show which I was so fortunate enough to attend, (my first and only fashion show ever!) and well lets say this outfit was decided through sheer panic, I decided to go with a look that was simple and hard to get wrong. Comfy grey jumper, midi bodycon skirt and added Topshop boots for some much needed height! I can't wait for the next Fashion Week, now that I am in this game baby I shall be pestering those PR agencies like there's no tomorrow!

Graze

Who has heard of Graze? You haven't? Well you should most defiantly get googling! I was given a free welcome box with ASOS Magazine, and I had to get two extra boxes after, they're THAT yummy. You can rate which products are your favourite, cancel ones you never want on the website and they send it straight away...costing only £3.89! The great thing is the snacks are tasty but also healthy and full of delicious goodness! I'd highly recommend giving it a go if you're prone to overindulging on sweets and chocolates at an office job...(believe me I know!) Today I had an early Christmas dinner with the boyfriend, it was so so delicious! We also swapped presents and I can't WAIT to show you guys, the boy did well hehe. No outfit posts till after Christmas sadly, the camera is staying with him during the holidays (boo hoo) I will make up for it munchkins...don't give up on me!

What A Difference A Year Makes

Hat, Top & Jacket: Vintage
Hat: H&M
Mainly my hair growing out, (thank goodness, the outgrown bangs and the awkward not-quite-long, not-quite-bob length is really not bitchin on me haha) I think this year has been the most successful in terms of discovering where my true passions lie, fashion of course, and I was lucky to intern as a Marketing & Communications assistant at Burberry as well as shadow for a week at Boden and Tatler magazine! Also, generally settling in my skin and being more confident in my style choices, though I've always just worn what I've wanted to! (Not sure if that was a good thing sometimes...) How has the year been for you? Any disastrous outfits?!

Inspiration

Here are some images inspiring me at the moment, pretty much in awe of huge floppy hats, (that's their technical name...right?) gives me that boho French vibe. Also, recently watched 'Dazed and Confused' and not only is it a great movie, but the fashion is amazing! The flares, double denims, fringes and just Milla Jovovich in general is mad hot. Underwear. Underwear is always relevent. Oh and hot also...especially lacy frilly ones! Lastly is the beautiful style icon Bridget Bardot, how cute are her dotty trousers? Must get myself a pair, and her hair as usual is super adorable. These were images found from various websites, and I've just edited slightly on Photoshop to give them a graphicy vibe, credit for artists is on my old Livejournal account.

Textures

Jumper & Dress: Matalan (Don't knock it till you've tried it!),
Bag: Euroline, Shoes: Dr. Martens

This was so super cosy, the turtle-neck wool jumper kept me really warm whilst the jersey midi dress gave me a nice breeze...which I needed when shopping in Stratford Westfield's. For those of you not from the UK, its East London's biggest shopping mall, and boy is it ram packed! Luckily being small I can just slide and duck along without getting in the way, hehe! The bag was something I found in my sister in laws basement, something they got years ago from one of those catalogue company type things, but it couldn't be more perfect for this season with its burgundy colour, and I love the corduroy detail. This is probably my last outfit post till the new year *sad face*, as I've had to return the camera for Christmas, however I'll hopefully nick someone else's and do a post or two. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and thinking of the NYE outfits!!!

Christmas Gifts

A few gift ideas for her...if you've got a quid or two! I am obsessed Givenchy's rottweiler anything, and ESPECIALLY the idea of having this iphone cases *hint hint Sam...* Also how awesome is this NARS 3 eye-shadow palette collection? These items aren't for the careful spender...but don't you worry I shall soon do a post for the more realistic present buyer this Christmas!

Fashion Friend of the Week: Jessica

Coat: Zara, Sweater: Vintage, Leather Skirt: Vintage, Gloves: Primark,
Shoes: Zara, Scarf: Urban Outfitters

Remember when I mentioned my friend Jess four posts back? Well here she is, and isn't she beautiful? I've always told her she carries such an air of grace and elegance from her style to her way of talking, pure class. I adore her bright coat from Zara, looks so comfy!! And of course what outfit is complete without a tight leather skirt?

Nastygal

Wow, Bambi Northwood-Blyth could not look more beautiful if she tried in the new Nastygal December lookbook! This is such a fun shoot, love the 60's inspired hairstyles and especially love the last photo...need those leather overalls in my life, oh lordy!

All images belong to NASTYGAL

Sporty Stiletto

Top: Topshop, Blazer: Zara, Sweat Pants: Urban Outfitters,
Socks: American Apparel, Shoes: Zara

Friday morning was a surprising outfit choice for me, I only recently bought these Sparkle & Fade ripped jogging bottoms from an Urban Outfitters sale and at first I wasn't sure...me and sport luxe isn't a usual combo. However, when I tried them they were SO comfy, and I thought I'll play around and see what I can do to make them more 'me'. So I paired them with a grey crop top (yes, I was slightly cold but no pain no gain!) A grey peplum style blazer from Zara, knee socks from American Apparel and finished it off with a pair of pointed stilettos also from Zara. Probably very impractical to have a walk in a forest with heels, but don't worry I bought my trusty worn out converses with me! My lovely friend Mark shot these pictures, and can I say how awesome is his exclusive OBEY hat?! I kept my make up minimal, with just no.7 BB Cream, white eye-liner and a bit of bronzer...shame about my hair I really should start brushing it some time soon...
